So last spring, I did locks for love and now my hair is past my shoulder blades. I want it to be longer though. I'm almost 14. Would I be able to take Biotin or other hair growth pills, or am I too young? Thank you so much :-)

i have really oily skin and i have bangs so it makes them very dirty looking and i can't stand it they get oily like only an hour after my hair drys and it feels awful and really gross do you know how i can help to prevent it. and you're awesome btw

Try using less conditioner! Also try not putting any conditioner in your bangs. Also you can use oil absorbing make up like bare minerals mineral veil!

Hi Katelyn! I bleached the underlayer of my hair over the summer to dye it pink. When the pink washed out it stayed blonde. Ie dyed my whole head aurburn twice since then and the blonde still won't completely dye auburn. Tips?

You should go to a salon and have them fill it. Basically you are missing all the pigments in your hair between blonde and what you want to get to, so you need to have someone fill those pigments back in so your future color will stick!

I dyed my hair blue/black (#210 by garnier) about 4 weeks ago. It still runs when I wash my hair. The dye said permanent. I know the blue would come out but it seems the black is as well and my hair is going back brown. Is it sussposed to do this?

Sometimes permanent color will fade over all over time. especially if you were lighter before. You can always just do it again to refresh your color! Permanent doesn’t always mean forever ;)

My hair is soooooo staticy. When I brush it I can hear it crackle and it is almost horizonal because of the static and it sticks to my face and nothing works to calm it down except lotion and that only works for a little bit. (I live in Arizona and it's super dry and no matter what shampoo and conditioner I use it doesn't do anything).

This may sound weird but dryer sheets will help! They are meant to take static out of clothes but it also helps with hair! Just run one through your hair! Also aveda’s brilliant emollient can help too and make it nice and shiny :)

Semi-permanent lasts 4-6 weeks and usually fades over all (rather than have a grow out line). Color conserving shampoo will help! Also aveda has a shampoo and conditioner called madder root that helps put red pigment into your hair and keep your color nice and rich!

how do you fix hot roots? i have brown hair with blonde roots & i dont know how to fix it -,-

That depends on whether it’s your natural color growing in or the stylist mess up! If your hair is just growing you can just go get a retouch! If it was a stylist mess up (or a at home job) you can go back in and see what they can do to fix it!

Hey katelyn, so i have dyed my hair about 3 times and i want to dye it agian a different color but the dye from the last times still isnt all gone so is that bad to layer that many colors or should i wait until my natural hair color grows all the way out? thank so much!

Well it will take years for your natural color to grow completely back (assuming you don’t have a pixie cut). You are best off to go to a salon and see what they say! Box color is very harsh in hair and layering it all on can be even worse. Especially if you like changing your color often!

Layers will definitely help take out weight! You can also ask your stylist if they think you need any extra weight taken out!

I want to get my hair more curlier, but it's hard because I suck at the hair curler and I always burn my head or my hair, and the hair salon charges 30 bucks near me, and I can't afford it with my job. It will most likely only be damaged until it grows out or the damage is all cut off. Just baby your hair, try to not put any heat on it unless necessary and get some deep conditioning treatments!

It’s pretty easy! First apply a base coat, then a white coat of polish. Then take a cup of water put in 2-3 drops of your chosen colors, take a tooth pick and lightly create a design and dip your nail in! It’s messy (it will get all over your fingers) but just take a q-tip and polish remover to clean up!
